2846712 - The quantity of Outbound DL is more than the requested quantity of the Sales Order


 The outbound delivery Quantity is greater than the Sales Order quantity.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to the launchpad with user roles SAP_BR_INTERNAL_SALES_REP and SAP_BR_SHIPPING_SPECIALIST.
  2. Select app 'Manage Sales Orders'
  3. Create a Sales Order type OR with Item Category TAN
  4. [SAVE] the order
  5. Select app 'Manage Outbound Deliveries'
  6. Create an Outbound Delivery using the order created previously
  7. Increase the delivery quantity of the line item
  8. No error or warning is raised.


The overdelivery tolerance is determined by the Overdelivery setting in the item category customising which has been set to ' ' - no warning or error message.


App Manage your Solution: Update the overdelivery indicator in the following 'Configuration Step':

  • SSCUI 102974 - Define Delivery Item Categories

For Central Business Configuration Customers the configruations can be viewed by following the below steps:

  1. Open App App implementation Activities.
  2. Navigate to Logistics Execution.
  3. Navigate to Shipping.
  4. Navigate to Deliveries.
  5. Click Execute on "Define Delivery Item Categories".
  6. Locate Item Category TAN.
  7. Click Details.
  8. OverDelivery = Non maintained
  9. Maintain as required by the client.

    Not maintained = "No System Response".
    A = "Display Warning Message".
    B = "Cancel action and display error message".

  10. The maintenance will need to follow the best practices outlined for utilising CBC to upgrade system configurations.
