2847036 - Error in Offer Approval Page "Changes failed. Check fields for validation errors" - Recruiting Management

When sending an Offer Detail to approval, the system display the following error:

• Offer Letter

1. Go to Recruiting > Open the Job Requisition
2. Select the Application in the Offer status
3. Take Action > Offer Approval
4. Select the template, fill the fields
5. Click to Send For Approval
6. Receives the error message

There are two possible reasons when this error will be thrown. One will be due to some discrepancies between the Offer Detail template among the others Recruiting templates (Job Requisition template, Application Profile template) and the other one, is the field "stateProvince" being declared on the template as "derived", which is currently not supported.

To remove the error and move forward with the Offer Approval, you must check one or both possible reasons.

• Discrepancy among templates:

The Offer Detail template could have some mismatching between the Job Requisition and the Application Profile templates. Most common mismatching are with field-types and required attributes. For e.g., in the Job Requisition, a certain field is defined as field-type="text", but in the Offer Template, this same field is declared as field-type"picklist". Then, the system won't pull the information from the Job Requisiton to the Offer Detail page and could cause some unpredictable Application Errors.

In provisioning, you can use the "Validate against other Templates" button to check out for any discrepancy against other Recruiting templates. Please, refer this functionality to your Partner/Implementation Team as access to Provisioning is required.

• "stateProvince" field

The field "stateProvince" is currently not supported on the Offer Detail template as field-type"derived". Software Engineering team is already working on it, but currently, the field-type cannot be configured as it.
