After setting up the upload option field for the custom field under Settings>Panels you have three different options on where to include the uploaded document as shown below:

1. Print package -> This will ensure that documents appear in the print package of Signature Step if you do not use Signature Step uncheck this feature
2. Document Center (Note you will not see the document in document center until the new hire has completed their Onboarding activity)
3. Work queue
