2847108 - BAPI_PO_CREATE1: BOM is not exploded

Symptom

  • Subcontracting purchase orders created with BAPI_PO_CREATE1 do not explode components (BOM not exploded).
  • Component items are not determined or added to the subcontracting PO item when created via the BAPI.
  • The issue is observed when the BAPI is run from a background program or external application.
