• You try to delete the sales organisation in Data Workbench work center, but an error occurs. Error: Update not allowed for properties: DistributionChannel,SalesOrganisationID. Check metadata for ProductSalesProcessInformationCollection
• You might also try to remove the sales organisation in the product work center, but there is no delete option for the blocked sales organizaiton.

1. Go to Data Workbench work center
2. Click on Export view
3. Search for Product Sales
4. Click on Export Data
5. Click on Monitor view
6. Open the file and make changes
7. Click on Import view
8. Upload file
9. Click on Next until Import Data
10. Click on Import Data
11. Click on Monitor view

The sales organization and distribution channel are the key for the SalesProcessInformation. When a record for the SalesProcessInformation is created for a sales organization/distribution channel, the sales organization and distribution channel cannot be changed/deleted any more. It is read-only. The total record can only be deleted when it is still in preparation phase.

The reason is that once a SalesProcessInfo was activated, it may have been used. Deletion would lead to data inconsistency of the transactional documents where the record is used.

This behavior is valid for both the UI and OData.

If the record was created by mistake or shall not be used, it can be set to blocked. After setting it to blocked, you need to add a new sales organization to the product. Then you should be able to see the products that are associated with the blocked sales organisation.
