2848585 - Maintain a restriction for Sales Document Type in Business Role

You want to set up a restriction for Sales Document Type for Business Role assigned to User.

• Check Business Roles assigned to user in Maintain Business User app:

According above example, user have two business roles assigned: SAP_BR_INTERNAL_SALES_REP and SAP_BR_RETURNS_REFUND_CLERK.

• Check IAM Information System app, in which business roles the restriction for Sales Document Type needs to be maintained:

1. Select Restriction as main entity;
2. Enter the restriction (in this case Sales Document type) in the search field;
3. Click Go;

You can see there are a lot of business roles that have field Sales Document Type as an option for restrictions:

• So, we can add Business Role ID in the filters, and check that both business roles have Sales Document Type available:

• Go to Maintain Business Role app, in order to maintain Restrictions for Sales Document Type for the following business roles (SAP_BR_INTERNAL_SALES_REP and SAP_BR_RETURNS_REFUND_CLERK):

In this example, you would like to restrict the role write access to a specific sales document type CBAR, however to not want to place other restrictions on role which will be assigned to user (Unrestricted).

Note: When you put a restriction on a field, in this example, put CBAR as a document type (for write) means, you just able to create a CBAR document. This restriction should be added to all business roles assigned to the user.

 

As mentioned previously, the step above needs also to be done for business roles SAP_BR_RETURNS_REFUND_CLERK.

After business roles maintained, you can try a test, go to Create Sales Orders - VA01 app, choose order type OR.

Note: You have no authorization for OR document type, only CBAR, as maintained in above steps.
