• Field PURCHASEORDERBYCUSTOMER in CDS view I_BILLINGDOCUMENT is not filled.
• When using field PURCHASEORDERBYCUSTOMER in the email template for billing output, it's not printed.

1. In the "Maintain Email Template" app, create a custom email template for billing output. Use the field {{PurchaseOrderByCustomer}} in email template.
2. Check the result in the email. The value of the field PurchaseOrderByCustomer is not populated.

Whether the field PURCHASEORDERBYCUSTOMER in CDS view I_BILLINGDOCUMENT is filled or not depends on the copy control settings.

When field Assignment Number (TVCPFLK-ORDNR_FI) in copy control is 'A', the field PURCHASEORDERBYCUSTOMER is filled from sales order customer reference (VBKD-BSTKD).
When field Reference number (TVCPFLK-XBLNR_FI) in copy control is 'A', the field PURCHASEORDERBYCUSTOMER is filled from sales order customer reference (VBKD-BSTKD).

1. Go to app "Manage Your Solution".
2. Choose "Configure Your Solution".
3. Search for SSCUI id 500332.
4. Choose the configuration step which is relevant for the billing document type and source document type, eg. step "Define Copying Control for Sales Document to Billing Document" (SSCUI id 102762) or step "Define Copying Control for Delivery Document to Billing Document" (SSCUI id 102763).
5. Choose the billing document type and sales document type.
6. Check details of header.
7. Change the field "Assignment Number" or "Reference Number" to "A".
8. Save.
