Symptom

You have personalized Gross profit and Net profit Tiles in Launchpad and the report displaying an error message No report data available to display; check the selection.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Start Personalization Mode.
  2. Click Add Tile -> KPI.
  3. Select Gross Profit and Net Revenue.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. 5.Click Save.
  6. Stop personalization mode.
  7. Click in the gross profit and click analyze data you will see the message saying:No report data available to display; check the selection.

Cause

The Contribution margin scheme is not maintained for the set of books ABC(where ABC represents the Company ID).

Resolution

To add the Contribution Margin Scheme to the Set of Books:

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Overview view.
  3. Find the Set of Books activity.
  4. Under the activity, select the Set of Books XYZ (where XYZ represents the Set of Books ID).
  5. Select the Company ABC (where ABC represents the Company ID).
  6. Click the Edit button.
  7. Open the Company Settings tab.
  8. Show the drop down menu for Margin Contribution Scheme.
  9. Select the Margin Contribution Scheme value.
  10. Select Save.
  11. Run the report again.
