This document will explain the steps required to install certificates for Certificate based Authentication

Resolution

The steps to assign the certificate are the following:

  1. Install the certificate which has been received from your trusted provider on your PC.
  2. After installing the certificate, it will appears under Personal certificates in your browser.
  3. Now, login with that user and assign the Root certificate of log on certificate in "Edit Certificate Trust List" by navigating to Administrator--> Common Tasks.
  4. Now,navigate to My Settings > Manage Certificates > Assign Logon Certificate.
  5. Click on Assign Certificate and Continue.
  6. Logoff from your tenant and close the browser.
  7. Open the browser again and enter the tenant URL.
  8. You will be logged via the certificate based authentication.
