2855108 - Access Restriction for Price List Work Center

You would like to know how the access restriction can be set for Price List work center.

The reason for the system design is that only pricing managers should have access to product portfolio.

Then if they are a complex organization with multiple sales organization, to keep competitive edge between sales organization, this data can be accessed differently based on sales organization.

The access context of price list is is based on sales organization level.  i.e. Based on Sales organization information Read/Edit privileges are provided.  (This can be checked under Business Role's Access restriction, the access context is "8 - Sales Organization")

So, only Sales organization specific price lists have access controls. For example: Distribution Chain Price List, Distribution Chain Price List by Product Category, here access is based on the sales organization. Once a Sales organization is entered in a price list, then only employees part of the sales organization will be able to access this price list.

For the rest of the Price Lists which does not contain a Sales Org, such as Base Price List, there is no sales organization information and hence there is no access context for this.

Base Price List would access can only be provided or removed on a WoC View level. If anybody has the access to the Price List work center view will be able to see Base Price List.
