2856475 - The approval task does not show up in the substitute's approval list

Symptom

 The approval task does not show up in the substitute's approval list.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Managing My Area work center
  2. Go to the Approvals view
  3. Here you don't see the delegated approval task.

And

  1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter.
  2. Go to Substitutions view.
  3. You can see no substitution maintained between two users

 or

  1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter.
  2. Go to Task Substitutions view.
  3. You can see  substitution maintained between two users

Cause

The substitution is not Active.

Resolution

  1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter.
  2. Go to Task Substitutions view.
  3. Search for Manager A.
  4. Edit substitutions for Manager A.
  5. Select the Activate check box and Save.
