2857264 - Feature to configure default TEXTSIZE value to 2GB - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE has historically defaulted to a TEXTSIZE limit of 32KB 
  • Larger values must be set by explicitly using client connection properties or using the SET TEXTSIZE command
  • The default value of 32KB can result in LOB values being truncated unexpectedly.
  • ASE needs a method to configure the default value of TEXTSIZE.
