You notice that a Service Ticket allows data to be saved despite a message that is configured as Error via the Message Severity Configuration is displayed.

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Service work center.
  2. Navigate to Tickets work center view.
  3. Access any ticket.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Change any field value.
  6. See that an Error Message which is configured in the Message Severity Configuration is displayed.
  7. Click Save.
  8. See the message: Your Entries have been saved.

This is the system expected behavior

System standard behavior allows that all transactional objects can be saved in a Dirty State, meaning that users can populate any data they might need for testing and correct this data later.

If required, it is possible to enhance and influence this behavior using PDI development, therefore preventing the object to save when the error messages are displayed.

Note: This is also valid for Sales Documents, such as Opportunities.
