Resolution

The email address information provided to this field is used as the contact information in the Recruiting Posting system. Which means this email address would be provided as an eventual point of contact between the potential candidate and the company that has the job posted with the job board. However, not every job board uses this field. Some have this information as mandatory (thus, we have it as mandatory too in the posting profile creation form), but the majority of the job boards integrated through Recruiting Posting do not use this information at all.

The email address information is also used to receive alerts, email concerning automatic posting, automatic reposting or reports.

Please note that despite the scenarios mentioned above, the used email address should not be disclosed with candidates and should not receive any other notification due to this setting.
