2859116 - How to Add Data Binding to a Custom Form

Symptom

You want to know how to add data binding to the fields of a custom form created via SDK.

Environment

SAP Cloud Applictaion Studio

SAP Cloud for Customer

SAP Business ByDesign

Adobe LiveCycle Designer

Resolution

  1.  Open the PDI solution in SDK.
  2. Naviagte to the custom form created out of the custom BO.
  3. Double click on the .xdp file of the form.
  4. The form will automatically opens in Adobe Live Cycle Designer(ALD).
  5. Select Data View tab.
  6. Click on the right side icon and select New Data Connection.
  7. Select XML Schema radio button.
  8. Select XML schema file by browsing in your local system.
  9. Go to Documents folder in your system and select CopernicusIsolatedShell.
  10. Navigate to Projects-> Select the SystemID folder -> Select the Solution.
  11. Navigate to the folder where the custom form is created, you can find .XSD file extension.
  12. Select the file and click on Finish.
  13. The Data Schema will be loaded and now you can see the data binding is enabled for you to select and map the fields.
