2861070 - How to restart stuck output - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The output from a business application has been triggered but no output was performed.
The corresponding output items show status To Be Output and there is no message log available.
Now these output items are stuck as their current status and does not allow further processing.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Check the output items via the corresponding business application UI or via the Manage Output Items app.
2. The output items are with the status To Be Output and dispatch time Immediate or Scheduled.

While processing the output items the session was terminated.

A) Output items with Dispatch Time Immediate

The output items can be processed again either using the corresponding business application or directly in the Manage Output Items app.

To process the output items in the Manage Output Items app, the steps below can be referred:

1. In the Manage Output Items app, filter for output items with the status To Be Output and dispatch time Immediate.
2. Note down the Application Object ID of the entry and locate the target entry.
3. Select the entry and choose Retry. Then the status of the selected output item changes to In Preparation.

To process the output items in the app, adjust the filter so the entry can be found again and choose Send Output.

B) Output with Dispatch Time Scheduled

The output from a business application has been scheduled but now a undo is needed.

1. In the Manage Output Items app, filter for output items with the status To Be Output and dispatch time Scheduled.
2. Select the entry and choose Retry. Then the status of the selected output item changes to In Preparation.

The output items can be processed again using the corresponding business application.
