It is heavily recommended to upgrade to LUC 3.x for Full Support and for a much simpler deployment process.

• Protocol Error: Error [Protocol]: (#73) Error [Protocol]: (#400) happens when connecting a Live Universe in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• In the HTTP trace, HTTP 400 error was observed in below URL:
  https://<tomcat>:<port>/sap/boc/ina/GetServerInfo?timestamp=XXXXXXXXXXXXX

• SAP Analytics Cloud
• SAP BOE Live Data Connect
• BOE Live Universe Connect (LUC) 2.x or 3.x

1. Install and deploy SAP BOE Live Data Connect
2. Log on to SAP Analytics Cloud
3. Go to Connection and create a Live Universe connection.
4. Input the server information, the username and password. Click OK to confirm.
5. Error is displayed as Symptom.

The size of SI_DATA of the BO user used in this scenario is too large.
SI_DATA contains the user's preferences setting and some other default setting in BO product. It is also used for computing serialized session in the SDK method.

Consider the possible method below to reduce the size of SI_DATA for the problematic user:

• Unpin the tabs which are set as pined in the BI launch pad.
• Reduce some customization for application like Web Intelligence, Preferences in BI launch pad.

In needed case, create a new user. The new user will have minimum size of SI_DATA. Then refer to KBA 1659566 - How to Apply Preferences to All User Accounts in BI 4.x programmatically [Video] to use program to copy the SI_DATA from this new user to the problematic user.
