2861607 - Home Phone Information Still Visible Even When There is No View Permission


When viewing the contact information for a user, the user can still see the Home Phone information even though their permission to Home Phone has been removed

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to users Profile
  2. See Home Phone Information is Visible
  3. Check Permission Role > Employee Data > Home phone is unchecked


This is because the Phone Information displayed in Contact information in Employee Central is not controlled by the Home Phone Permission this is Permission to the Standard field in Employee Profile.  It is controlled by the Phone Information Permission located under HR Information Section.


It is not possible currently to Permission individual Phone types such as Business Phone and Home phone.  Once the user has Permission to Phone information they will have Permission to view all types of Phone information.
