2862110 - Internal candidates do not have write permission to modify their resume during the recruitment process - Recruiting Management

Symptom

Internal candidates cannot modify their resume in the Internal Career Site during the recruitment process.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into Career
  2. Job Applications
  3. Select previously applied job
  4. The resume icon is missing, hence not possible to edit it.

Cause

The fields statusId, resume, coverletter, comments are defined in the Job Requisition XML Template field-permission elements instead of in the Candidate Application XML Template when multi-stage application functionality is enabled.

The fields statusId, resume, coverletter, comments must remain defined in the Application XML field-permission elements when multi-stage application functionality is enabled.

Resolution

Please implement the following instruction steps in a test environment:

  1. Copy and paste the Candidate Application XML Template in a Notepad
  2. Reconfigure the following: field-permission elements for fields statusId, resume, coverletter, comments
  3. Replace the "old" Candidate Application XML Template with the edited one
  4. Save the template
  5. Download the Job Requisition XML Template
  6. Copy and paste it in a Notepad
  7. Remove the field-permission elements for fields statusId, resume, coverletter, comments
  8. Re-upload the edited Job Requisition XML Template
  9. Save
  10. Test to verify that the issue has been resolved
