2863102 - Error "500 SAP Internal Server Error" While Creating the REST Service using Mashup Web Services

Symptom

You have logged in with User XYZ. In Administrator workcenter, you unable to create the REST Service using Mashup Web Services due to the exception:

Exception Occurred

An error occurred. Try resuming your work. If you still face issues, open an case.
500 SAP Internal Server Error

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Administrator workcenter
  2. Go to Business Flexibility view
  3. Choose Mashup Web Services
  4. Select New and choose REST Service
  5. System throws the exception

Cause

The work center ID: PDI_PARTNER_DEVELOPMENT with workcenter name: Partner Development is assigned to the user XYZ. That is, XYZ is a PDI user.

Resolution

The user that has the PDI_PARTNER_DEVELOPMENT assigned will not be able to create the Mashup Web Services.

Only Business User that has the access to create the REST Service can create it. Uncheck the assignment of the workcenter ID: PDI_PARTNER_DEVELOPMENT using the below steps:

  1. Go to Administrator work center
  2. Go to Business Users view
  3. Find any Business User
  4. Select Edit and choose Access Rights
  5. Go to the Work Center and View Assignment tab
  6. Uncheck the assignment of the workcenter ID: PDI_PARTNER_DEVELOPMENT with workcenter name: Partner Development
  7. Save the changes

You will be able to create the REST Service using Mashup Web Services
