Resolution

I. Partners & Support Only:

  • The obj-sect-type element indicates how to populate the objective section:
    • custom: if you do not want to auto-populate goals on a form when the form is created.
    • plan: if you want to auto-populate goals on a form when the form is created. If new goals are created in a Goal Plan after a form has been created, new goals must be added manually to the form unless auto-sync is set to "true".
Please note that obj-sect-type only works when the form is created and NOT opened by the user, and if autosync is set to "true", the sync happens every time the form is opened. Therefore, if you don't want to auto-populate goals when form is created and opened, you need to disable auto-populate and autosync at the same time. Code configuration is suggested as below:
  • Prevent auto-population of Goals on Performance Form: The following attribute must be configured in the Goal or Development Goal section of the Performance Form XML Template:

<obj-sect-type autosync="false"><![CDATA[custom]]></obj-sect-type>

II. Customers:

  • If you are no longer working with a partner but need the XML updated, you can create a Service Change Request with Product Support using information in 2250186.
  • If you wish to allow employees to add existing goals from their Goal Plan to their Performance Form, the following option should be enabled in Manage Templates > Goal Section:

NOTE: These settings are not dynamic. The settings must be in place prior to launching your Performance Forms. Product Support cannot fix this.
