Symptom

  • Start IQ could fail with:

DBSPAWN ERROR: -83
Specified database not found

Cannot access "MyServer_1": file does not exist
Server failed to start

or

DBSPAWN ERROR: -81

Invalid database server command line
Naming conflict: "MyServer" -- aborting Database naming conflict -- aborting startup
Server failed to start

  • The naming conflict error occurs when there is no other IQ server with the same name running.
