2864008 - Rich Text Feature Missing in Reports

You would like to display rich text / formatted text in reporting, however the spectacles icon is missing and you cannot view the formatted text.

Alternatively, the icon may be there, but no formatted text is shown.

1. Go to the Analysis work center.
2. Open a report.
3. For the field where rich text was maintained, for example Notes, see that the icon to show rich text is missing.

1. This feature is only supported for KUT or standard fields so far which were enabled for rich text, i.e. which are of type formatted text.
2. Additionally, you need to enable the Show Extended Text feature to display rich text.

If required, please create a KUT  extension field of type formatted text and add this field to a data source and report. Here this feature is supported.

Please note that this feature cannot be supported with PDI fields as of now. You can register this on the Influence Forum if you require this feature for PDI fields.

To enable the extended text, you can follow the steps below in a SAP Cloud for Customer system:

1. Go to the Analysis work center.
2. Open a report.
3. Click the ... icon for more actions.
4. Click Show Extended Text.
5. Reopen the report.

To enable the extended text, you can follow the steps below in a SAP Business ByDesign system:

1. Go to the Business Analysis work center.
2. Select the Design Reports view.
3. Open a report.
4. Click the icon for Configure.
5. Click Show Extended Text.
6. Close the report and reopen the report.
