2864058 - Wrong Format in Excel Report Field After XLSX Download

You have downloaded a report to Excel (xlsx) however the fields come in a wrong format. They are text fields in Excel, even though in the report, it is for example a Calendar Month.

• SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the work center Business Analytics.
2. Select the Design Reports view.
3. Run your report.
4. Download it as a xlsx file.
5. Mark a field and see that it has a General or Text formatting.

The field has a type for which no formatting can be downloaded.

Since 1911, the formatting will be kept correctly for certain field types: Date, Amount and Quantity fields.

Please note about date fields that only pure dates will retain their formatting. Fields like Calendar Month, Calendar Week etc are not formatted in a xlsx download.

If you download a report in the XML format date fields will show the format as General. This is the expected system behaviour at the moment. If you want to change this behaviour this would be a new requirement.
