While performing upgrade using Software Update Manager (SUM), below error occurs in phase UNINSTALL_PREPARE:

Add-on "XXX" Release "YYY" is not flagged as uninstallable

For example:

Last error code set:

Error during prepare of component uninstallations. Return Code = 1, Reason =
