2865568 - Behaviour of multiattachmentselection fields from the Candidate Profile to the Application

Symptom

When a candidate uploads a resume to their Candidate Profile, this same resume will sync across to existing job applications even though the snapshot has already been created.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

The following steps will depend on you having configured the same multiattachmentselction field on both the Candidate Profile template and the Application template.

  1. Candidate creates a profile on the external careers site and uploads an attachment to this field.
  2. Candidate applies to a requisition.
  3. The file that was uploaded to the field defined on the Candidate Profile syncs over to the same field defined on the Application.
  4. The Recruiter opens the application and the snapshot is taken thus preventing any further syncing.
  5. Recruiter moves candidate to a status that does not have write permissions to this multiattachment field
  6. Candidate logs into external career site and uploads another attachment to this field in their candidate profile (not application)
  7. Candidate then opens the 'Jobs Applied' tab and clicks on the requisition they have applied for
  8. They are unable to upload any new files to this field on the application however, if they click the 'update application' button, the attachment that they uploaded to the same field on their candidate profile gets updated and then reflects in SuccessFactors

Resolution

Firstly, please configure the necessary permissions for candidates to have write permissions to the multiattachment field in the Candidate Profile Template. When a candidate uploads a resume in their candidate profile, any existing job applications that they have open will be automatically updated by this new document even though the candidate snapshot has already been created.
Updating a resume in an existing job application will also sync back to the candidate profile.

Candidate profile content contained via multiattachmentselction fields is expected to sync over to a field of the same field type in the application regardless of what stage the application is at. Behaviour is the same even when mobile apply is disabled.
Note: The update in job application will take effect after the candidate move to the job application and click on "Update" button.
