2866031 - Web IDE fails to start with "Request to UAA failed: certificate has expired"

Symptom

  • Accessing the XSA Web IDE returns "Internal Server Error".
  • In the SAP HANA XS Advanced Cockpit the logs for application webide show the following: 
    Could not authenticate with UAA: Could not obtain access token: request to UAA at https://<hostname>:3<INS>32/uaa-security/oauth/token failed, error: Request to UAA failed: certificate has expired (connecting to <hostname>:3<INS>32)
  • Run "XSA diagnose" at OS level and encounter: 
    Checking the expiration of certificates: FAILED
    ERROR: The following certificates are expired:

    domain                                 details                                                                           
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    <fully_qualified_host_or_domain_name>  Issuer: CN=<fully_qualified_host_or_domain_name>,OU=,OU= Subject: CN=<fully_qualified_host_or_domain_name>,OU=,OU=
