Role-Based Permission (RBP) to control visibility of Succession Talent Pool Page

• By default, Hide Talent Pool Page is inactive for all customers. System admins can use this flag for user roles where required.
• Once this flag is active, the permission prohibits roles from accessing the Talent Pool home page but allows access to other Succession features and People Profile.
• Customers can also control permissions with the target population of pools that should be visible and of nominees which should be visible within pool.

Once Hide Talent Pool Page is enabled:

• In the Position card, the label ‘Manage Pool’ will be hidden so there is NO link to the talent pool nominations page.
• The Succession menu Talent Pool tab is not visible
• In the People Profile nomination portlet, there will be NO link to the talent pool nominations page. Users can still view talent pool nominations within the portlet.
  

How to Enable Hide Talent Pool Page

NOTE: Once Hide Talent Pool Page is enabled, it overrides all other permission roles where Talent Pool access is granted.

1. Action Search: Manage Permission Roles
2. Choose a Permission Role
3. Permission... link > Succession Planners
4. Check/uncheck Hide Talent Pool Page > Done > Save Changes

Example Scenarios:

Scenario 1: Enable ‘View Talent Pool Nominations’ AND ‘Hide Talent Pool Page’:

• Administrators: See the existing pool nominations within the Nominations portlets but CANNOT access the talent pool homepage.
• Managers: See the existing pool nominations within the Nominations portlets, but CANNOT see the link to the talent pool homepage

 

Scenario 2: Disable 'View Talent Pool Nominations', but enable ‘Hide Talent Pool Page’

• Administrator: Users with target population permission CANNOT see the existing pool nominations within the Nominations portlets AND CANNOT access talent pool homepage.
• Managers: Talent Pool tab is not visible in the Succession menu.
