2867616 - Changing a config parameter by sp_configure may not respond - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • While trying to change a configuration parameter by sp_configure, ASE does not respond;
  • The connection hangs while executing sp_configure
    If dbcc stacktrace is run on the hung spid, a typical stack trace is:

  • There is a similar issue when attempting to select from monLicense table.
    A typical stack trace from dbcc stacktrace is:
