You have descoped the question Do you want to enable users to select a reason for a standard status change they make directly from the opportunity list? yet the prompt to select a reason still shows in the Opportunity TI when changing the status.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Sales workcenter.
- Go to the Opportunities view.
- Open any Opportunity.
- Click Actions > Set to Won (for example).
Result: the prompt shows to select a Reason for the status change.
The scoping question Do you want to enable users to select a reason for a standard status change they make directly from the opportunity list? affects only the opportunity list (technically: Opportunity OWL).
For status changes in opportunity detail view (Opportunity TI), this scoping question is not relevant, but the setting in fine-tuning under Opportunities > Assignment of Reasons.
If there is a result reason assigned for the target status, the system shows the popup.
If the popup for selecting the reason is not wanted, the Assignment of Reasons to a status has to be removed.
