Symptom
- The "enable streamlined parallel" configuration parameter is set to 1.
- An "infected with signal 11" error with a stack trace may be reported in the SAP ASE error log when you try to insert a row into a proxy table, for example:
- (ASE 15.7 SP141)
Current process (0x19000d) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x000000000091640d (StatsDesc::addStatsUpdateInfo(short*, int, _cs_datetime*)+0x19db3), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x000000000000001c)
- (ASE 16.0 SP03 PL07)
Current process (0x35001b) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000018d1968 (SrtCtrId::SrtAssign(short, OptPool*)+0x68), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x000000000000001c)
- Stack traces include the following functions respectively:
- (ASE 15.7 SP141)
StatsDesc::addStatsUpdateInfo(short*, int, _cs_datetime*)
StatsDesc::addStatsUpdateInfo(short*, int, _cs_datetime*)
StatsDesc::addStatsUpdateInfo(short*, int, _cs_datetime*)
StatsDesc::addStatsUpdateInfo(short*, int, _cs_datetime*)
StatsDesc::addStatsUpdateInfo(short*, int, _cs_datetime*)
OptGlobal::_GblInitPopRules()
OptGlobal::_GblSearchEngine(int*)
OptGlobal::GblOptimize(int*)
Optimize - (ASE 16.0 SP03 PL07)
SrtCtrId::_ctrInc(OptPool*) <--- this function may not be shown
SrtCtrId::SrtAssign(short, OptPool*)
SrtCtrId::operator=(short)
PopSort<ParallelCost, ParallelProps>::PopSort(Pop<ParallelCost, ParallelProps>*, short)
PartNljMatch::PartNljMatch(PopRuleMgr*)
PartNljClMatch::PartNljClMatch(PopRuleMgr*)
OptGlobal::_GblInitPopRules()

Note: Complete stack traces are available under Attachments.
