2868938 - Take Assessment Button for External Candidates - Recruiting Management

Why do external candidates have to click the "Take Assessment" button after they click apply button to trigger the assessment, when internal candidates trigger the assessment by only clicking on the apply button.

This is behaving as designed. An external candidate will be directed back to the jobs applied page after they click apply where they will need to click the take assessment button to trigger the assessment. Internal Candidates will be redirected automatically to the assessment vendor.

Please note the external candidate will only see the take assessment button straight away after clicking apply if the assessment is configured to be initiated for the default status in the application pipeline.
