Symptom

How to configure a text limit for the Introductory Text, in Profile Header?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors People Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  • In the People Profile header, click Header > About Me.
  • Scroll down and enter your introductory text.

Resolution

  • If "Allow employees to enter an introductory text" is checked in Configure People Profile > General Settings, users can enter a short text about themselves, of up to 500 characters, which is visible in the profile header.

  • There is currently no option to control the character limit (decrese and/or increase). The only option available is to switch it on or off.
