2869816 - Recurring Absence Is Triggering Multiple Workflow Approvals

When employee requests recurring absence, multiple workflows are getting triggered.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time off

1. Navigate to Time Off ESS UI
2. Apply recurring absence.
3. Workflows are triggered for each and every absence.

• This is currently an expected behavior
• Each recurring absence is handled and validated individually, which will cause a workflow to be triggered for each created absence.
• We have an internal enhancement (TIM-6059) to change the beahvior, but the fix date is not yet confirmed as it is in review stage. Please reach out to your CSM/CEE to track the progress of the enhancement.

Workaround:

1. Set the time type to ESS Enabled = No in the time profile.
2. Employees would have to request long term partial leaves via an administrator, who could submit the recurring leave requests on behalf of the employee without an approval workflow.
3. The admin may inform the manager by e-mail.
