2870030 - EWM quality managed stock cannot be posted

Symptom

Your business requires one of the following scenarios regarding an EWM stock, which has an active (not decided / not canceled) quality inspection document reference:

  • Post goods issue for an outbound delivery where these stocks are already picked;
  • Post ad-hoc goods issue (e.g. scrapping);
  • Transfer to another EWM warehouse;
  • Transfer to a non-EWM managed storage location;
  • Post consumption;
  • Post to production.

During the posting you get error forbidding the goods movement, e.g. "No authorization for activity Change (02) for the inspection document" (message QIE_INSP_DOCUMENT 013) that blocks the processing.

Disclaimer: it is valid for all transactions in EWM, where these activities can be carried out (/SCWM/ADGI, /SCWM/PRDO, /SCWM/IM_PC, difference posting etc.). Simple warehouse tasks can be of course allowed against those stocks, so inspection reference doesn't block the putaway, the picking, the packing itself or any ad-hoc movement inside the warehouse. However SAP strongly recommends forbidding all logistical movements and postings for inspection relevant stock items to avoid data inconsistencies.
