2870234 - Enterprise Manager is offline with error: HTTP status code 502

Symptom

Introscope EM is reported as offline in step 4 "Define CA Introscope" , on the default.trc of the Solution Manager JAVA the following exception can be seen:

Error accessing to Enterprise Manager: EM.FQDN@EMPORT
[EXCEPTION]
com.sap.smd.introscope.em.IntroscopeException: http status code 502
