2870618 - Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT

Symptom

The following exception occurs in Analysis Office, when entering a value for a variable in variable screen:
"Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION (RSBOLAP-000, SID)"

The following error occurs in BICS_PROV_GET_MEMBERS when running the backend trace in RSTT transaction:
"System error in program CL_RSMD_RS_SPECIAL and form _GET_SID-01"

Reproducing the Issue

Insert a query or refresh a workbook in Analysis Office;
In the variable screen, enter value for a variable;
Confirm exception "Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION (RSBOLAP-000, SID)".

Cause

The issue is not related to a bug in Analysis Office. It is caused by a problem in the backend.

Resolution

Implement the SAP note below:
