2870886 - Analysis Office cannot establish BW Live Data Connection via SAP Analytics Cloud

After a successful logon to SAC from Analysis Office client, selecting the BW Live Data Connection shows the following error:

"Analysis Office currently is not able to establish a connection.

[09db-5b79-aa] One or more errors occured.

>> General .NET Exception [09db-5b79-aa]:
The base stream is not readable.
Parameter name: stream"

In the AO_Trace, the following entry can also be seen:

ResponseUri: https://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bw/ina/ao/capabilities, StatusCode: NotFound#

URL   call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
