2870988 - Error 'Changes Lead to License Overconsumption'

You receive the error 'Changes Lead to License Overconsumption' when trying to lock/unlock user or edit its attributes. Also, the changes are not saved.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
2. Open Business User view.
3. Select the user.
4. Try to lock / unlock the user or try to edit its attributes.
5. You will receive the error 'Changes Lead to License Overconsumption' and the changes will not be saved.

There is a Scoping Question that was selected to prevent overconsumption of user licenses.

1. Go to Business Configuration Work center
2. Go to Implementation view
3. Click on "First Implementation"
4. Edit the Project Scope
5. Go to Question 4
6. Expand "Built-in Services and Support"
7. Expand "System Management"
8. Click on "User and Access Management"
9. Untick the Question "Do you want to prevent an overconsumption of user licenses?"

Once you descope the question the error will be prompted as a warning indicating that license has been overconsumed.
