Symptom

  • In BI Launchpad, a red cross is displayed instead of chart in Web Intelligence documents.
  • This happens for all Web Intelligence documents (existing and new ones).  
  • In the traces of the Adaptive Processing Server hosting Visualization service, the below error is captured:
    "Caused by: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: while trying to load from index 0 of an object array with length 0, loaded from field sun.font.CompositeStrike.strikes of an object loaded from local variable 'this'
    at sun.font.CompositeStrike.getStrikeForSlot(CompositeStrike.java:79)"
