Symptom
You are using the webgui tile "Schedule Goods Issue for Deliveries" to schedule a background job to post the 'Goods Issue' against due deliveries. The job fails with the following error in the log. 'Posting only possible in periods & and & in company Code &' ( M7053 )

Reproducing the Issue
- Open the tile "Schedule Goods Issue for Deliveries".
- Choose the 'Plus sign' to create the new job.
- Enter your selecting data in the screen parameters.
- Tick the Immedite box.
- Choose 'Schedule' to activate the background job.
- The goods issue posting fails with error code M7 053.
Cause
Standard System Behaviour. In the header of a delivery there are 2 fields for the posting date. The 'Planned Goods Issue' date and the 'Actual Goods Issue' date. When a goods issue or a goods receipt is posted, if the 'Actual Goods Issue' date is empty, the system will automatically take the system date as the 'Actual Goods Issue' date. If a user is processing a goods issue against a delivery in a dialog activity, they are able to amend the 'Actual Goods Issue' date in case of conflicts with close periods. In a background job this is not possible so the posting will fail if the system date is in a closed period.
Resolution
If you have cases where there are long periods of time between the creation of a delivery and the posting of the corresponding goods issue. You have to maintain the 'Actual Goods Issue' date in the delivery before the background job is triggered to avoid such errors. Consider that the 'Actual Goods Issue' date will always be filled with the system date.
