2871529 - Error when opening a story in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC) after system upgrade

When opening a story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), no data appears and the error "Can not find model information" appears at the bottom of the story.

Alternatively you may see the error "Instantiation of calculation model failed".

Additionally, expanding the error or looking in the Chrome Developer tools may show the following additional error messages:

The table failed to initialize: Please contact your administrator.
Error: Error [Server]: (#43254) EPM : Query source [TenantID: Model ID] Referenced hierarchy 0 is not registered for field Version.Description.
Error [Server]: (#42208) Can't read the view : [TenantID: Model ID]::[EPM], reason: Querysource could not be read : [TenantID: Model ID]::[EPM]

• SAP Analytics Cloud

Issue may occur after system version updated

Model is in an inconsistent state.

1. Open the model for editing and change the default currency to any other currency (for instance, if default currency is USD change it to EUR) and save the model.
2. Edit the model again and change the currency back to USD and save again.
3. This should regenerate all the necessary artifacts of the model.
