2871916 - Errors in SuccessFactors Instance with Various Tools and Portlets

There are generic errors in an instance with the following symptoms:

• Issue with approving termination records: No object definition found for field XYZ in ABC.
• Issue with data import for Job info: Error states, 'Event reason HRIS field is missing'
• Accessing history in job info – error: Error message states 'Unable to set property 'showNoDetailsLink'
• Issue with add new employee in Employee Central: Error on accessing add new hire page - 'Invalid Configuration: null is not configured
• Boomi integration errors

• Add new employee 
• Error: Invalid COnfiguration: null is not configured

• There was issue while building the Corporate Data Model (CDM) cache as the database (db) connection could not be established because of outage in the Data Center.
• Since we could not get the db connection to get CDM from the db, wrong cache was bulit which caused the issue.

Workaround: To unblock the business, customer can have the corporate datamodel (and if issue not solved, then country specific corporate datamodel) re-imported and the cache will refresh, which will solve the error(s). The corporate datamodel can be exported and then re-imported via the 'Import/Export Corporate Data Model' tool in Admin Center. Details regarding importing/exporting the corporate data model can be found in the SAP SuccessFactors Data Model Reference Guide.

If the issue still exists after re-importing the Corporate Data Model, its possible the Metadata Cache will also need to be refreshed. To clear the Metadata Cache go to:

1. Admin Center
2. OData API Metadata Refresh and Export
3. Refresh Metadata Cache**

** If this is not a visible option in Admin Center, then you will need to permission it via RBP. The tool is found under the permission category Manage Integration Tools.

Q) How to Grant a permission to Import/Export Corporate Data Model.

A) Before B2005 Release: Import or export of Corporate Data Model or Country-specific Corporate Data Model was supported only in Provisioning.

After B2005 Release: Import or export of Corporate Data Model or Country-specific Corporate Data Model is supported from Admin Center in the UI. Permission settings to be maintained under Administrator Permissions-->Manager Foundation Objects–>Import/Export Corporate Data Model & Import/Export Country/Region Specific XML for Corporate Data Model.
