Symptom
A custom job layout is created and is configured in CSB to use the Shift Job token but the corresponding field shows as blank on the RMK job description page or shows unexpected data.
Prerequisites :
The RCM field is mapped to the Shift field in Admin Center / Setup Recruiting Marketing Job Field Mapping for all requisition templates
The RCM field is populated in all requisitions with the corresponding data
Field used in CSB Job layout mapping (Command Center / Site settings) is mapped and populated (or the custom layout will not take effect)
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
Reproducing the Issue
- Create custom job layout in CSB under Layouts / Job (see 2657841 - Job Layouts in Career Site Builder)
- Add Job Token Component to the layout
- Select Shift in Job Token dropdown list
- Update label as required to match RCM field
- Publish layout
- Field Shift is not populated with the expected values on the job layout page on the site
Cause
Shift token is not calling the expected field data
Resolution
The Shift token is actually calling the Shifttype RMK field instead of the expected Shift field. In the Admin Center mapping, the Shifttype field corresponds to the Job Type field. As a result:
> If the Job Type RMK field is not mapped then the Shift field will appear as blank on the job page
> If the Job Type RMK field is mapped then the data shown in the Shift field will be that of the mapped Job Type RMK field from Admin Center
This behaviour cannot be corrected at this point but is part of a wider project to consolidate the job model between RCM and RMK which would forego the mapping which is currently required.
The improvements linked to this project should begin to be rolled out with b2005.
