Symptom

An application error is received when ending global assignment with fingerprint da05e62282aec996686af8f3bb7b7ccb1ae0926f

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

Manage Global Assignment
End global Assignment
Enter Event Reason and End date (any other mandatory fields)
Click Save
Receive application error
OR
No action happens, using the browser debug toll in chrome(F12) an application error is received, when the save button is clicked.

Cause

The home assignment does not have a positon assigned to its current record.

Resolution

Correct the job information history of the home assignment to include a valid position during the 'Away on Global Assignment' period. Job information records will have to be update via full purge import, you can learn how to do so here 2317955 - Correct or Remove Job Information Via Import in Full Purge Mode - EC
