Symptom

  • ERROR: ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <host> failed: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SSL Security error [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (SECDoClientHandshake()).

  • Data Services job fails due to secure connection error with SQL Server database.

  • SQL Server database has TLS 1.2 configured.
