The following error is reported in the SLOG by a TP action (Import Queue Refresh, Transport Import):

ERROR: Could not open file ./dev_tp_<pid>
FATAL NOSTDOUT_COLLECTION <SID> 0212 <timestamp> TMSADM <hostname>

tp returncode summary:

tp finished with return code: 212
meaning:
could not access file as supposed (see dev_tp or SLOG<year><week>.<SID> for more details)

At the same time, a non-CTS related error may or may not be seen in the SAP system log SM21 (the below is just an example):
