2876110 - ODP Extraction of Data Source Not Working

Symptom

You have exposed a data source and you are extracting the data, for example via the SOAP UI. You face error messages or the content is not shown as in the data source itself.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign
SAP Cloud for Customer

Cause

ODP is a web service owned and provided by SAP BW. It only works in conjunction with a BW system.

The extraction via ODP without using a BW system is not supported.

Resolution

The ODP integration should only be used in a scenario involving a BW system. No support can be offered for other scenarios.
