2876634 - [EnableReplication] - /sybase/SID/DM/run_rs_install_replicate.sh: line 3: -S<host:port>: command not found - SRS

Symptom

  • Configure password of "DR_admin" with the escape character (like: '|' or '&' etc)
  • Enable replication failed in RMA.

        EnableReplication Task State Error
        EnableReplication Short Description      Enable the flow of Replication
        EnableReplication Long Description    Validating user specified arguments.
        EnableReplication Failing Command   [/sybase/<SID>/DM/run_rs_install_replicate.sh]
        EnableReplication Failing Command      Return Code 127

  • Primary RMA log file shows:

       [ERROR] [ContainerAgent-Waiter#/sybase/HTP/DM/run_rs_install_replicate.sh:35:417][RMA] - [EnableReplication ] -
       /sybase/<SID>/DM/run_rs_install_replicate.sh: line
       3: -S<Primary_host>:<Prmary_ASE_server_port>: command not found
       [INFO ] ... ... [RMA] - [EnableReplication ] - The run_rsinstall utility returned a status of '127' for 'rs_install_replicate.sql'.
       [ERROR]... ...[RMA] - [EnableReplication ] - Task Enable Replication - Failed performing command - 
       [/sybase/<SID>/DM/run_rs_install_replicate.sh]
       [ERROR]... ...[RMA] - [EnableReplication ] - Task Enable Replication - Failing Command returned code - 127
       [TRACE]... ... [RMA] - [ConnectionManager ] - Terminate connection <xxxxxx(out of scope)>
