2877945 - Error appears when you enter Bar Code Input manually while creating Inbound Delivery

While creating  Inbound Delivery from Inbound Delivery Notification you enter Bar code Input Manually, system errors out

Decoding of bar code failed
-----> Bar code ]C1KLM does not contain a valid application identifier
-----> Bar code KLM decoding failed

*KLM refers to parameters entered manually

SAP Business ByDesign

1.  Go to Inbound Logistics Work Center
2.  Navigate to Inbound Delivery Notifications View
3.  Search and Select the relevant Inbound Delivery Notification
4.  Select Post Goods Receipt
5.  Under Sub tab Bar code Input enter parameters manually and click enter
6.  Error appears  as stated above

As the parameter entered manually is not according to the format as per the system expectation

In order to resolve the error, Kindly follow the Application Identifier format  as per scoping in Bar Code Type UCC/EAN 128.

To solve the error, follow the below steps

1.  Go to Inbound Logistics Work Center
2.  Navigate to Inbound Delivery Notifications View
3.  Search and Select the relevant Inbound Delivery Notification
4.  Select Post Goods Receipt
5.  Under Sub tab Bar code Input enter parameters in this format 91DEF]C13002]C195EA, (91 refers to Product ID AI(Application Identifier) *DEF refers to product id, C1 refers to  delimiter, 30 refers to Quantity AI, 02 refers to quantity, 95 refers to Unit of Measure AI, EA refers to Unit of Measure.
